A little bit about Mel - “A native mid-westerner, I graduated from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis in 1999. Then I moved to Boulder, CO and became a massage therapist for professional athletes. After seven years, I decided it was time for a change and started working at a salon where I fell back in love with doing hair. When I moved to SF three years ago all my friends told me that I would love Festoon… now after almost 2 years of training at Festoon, I am more in love with doing hair than I ever thought possible. Thanks to the training program at Festoon! I went from being an okay stylist to being a great stylist with amazing confidence in what I do!”
